Bosch F43 Fault Code?

We have a Bosch Washing Machine WAS32466 flashing F43 on the display. the book says the motor is at fault. after checking the motor we found the brushes had worn out.
We have changed the brushes but the machine still flashes F43. do we have to re-set the machine in some way.
thanks Kath.

You need a meter to check continuity on the motor terminals, all tags that line up with the plug should have continuity with 1 or more other tags. You will have continuity with 3 stator leads, 2 brush/armature leads, and 2 tacho coil leads. The following is possible :- The brushes you fitted may have jammed part way down make sure they are fully down and free to move, if tight clean out the holder, there is a thermal cut out in the brushplate ,if the old brushes were sparking and making the armature run hot the cut out will blow and is not resettable. It is generally assumed if this cut out blows the armature is faulty but you could try replacing it (the brushplate) if you want to chance it. Cheers
