how do i determine why my dishwasher is tripping the power?

my smeg pl8210x dishwasher is 2 years old, its been running great until now. Whilst running a load of dishes, it tripped the power, out in the power box of the house.

i attempted numerous times to turn it on again but it trips the power again.

i opened the dishwasher and pulled out the filter, making sure it was all clean etc, then i pumped out that 2ltrs of water, (that sits at the bottom) out.

i closed it back up and couldnt believe it, it let me turn the power on without tripping the switch instantly. but unfortunately after 1 min of running it tripped the power again..

i repeated that a few times, with no luck.

i checked the jet sprays, they are all good.

i checked every part of the machine, pulled it apart and couldn't find anything blocked or water where it shouldnt be ....

some one please help !!! all i know for sure is that when i drain the water out of the filter section, the machine will turn on, but then trip the power a short time later..

if i dont empty the water, it trips the power instantly

disconnect wiring to the heater and then try it.If this stops the tripping you have found the problem

check the socket that its pluged into first, take the pulg out and pulg in the kettel, into the same socket, if if trips the power, then its the socket. might need to make sure that all of the wires are tight, do this with all the power off"" if its not the socket, it could be the heating element in the disher, it could be blown check it with the power off" also check the plug that on the washer , see the all the wires are tight,
