machine keeps tripping the electric?

Hi. My BOSCH WFF2001 washing machine has started to trip the fuse circuit when running, and has now just developed some smoke and a burning smell from drum. I have isolated the machine can you advise me if it is worth trying to fix the fault. Thanks

sounds like the heater has given up the ghost, but you cant be sure till you test it with a megger,DO NOT attempt to use it till you have it tested on the door of the machine is a very long number, this you will need to order the part(s) you require, but if its an old machine, buy a new one if you have a megger, then you ok,but if you borrow one,be carefull how you use it,it can give you a very good shock ,to test heater ,unplug machine remove wires from heater, take note where they go,not put one lead of the megger on any of the terminals, and put other lead on the earth terminal of heater, press the button,on meter,if the needle goes all the way across the dial,or reads zero,(if digital meter ) then your heater is blown,
