Hi to all,
I have reworked my 1986 K100 RS 8 valve by removing the fairing, shortening the frame and fitting old school rear mudguard and seat.
All worked fine before the rebuild but now I have a problem with the cooling fan coming on too early, but only when the lights are on, other wise the fan works as it should.
I have checked all the earthing as far as I can, but can`t
find the problem. Can anyone give me some advise.

you're the only one that knows what's been done to the wiring, just a case of going back over it to find the fault, have you 'piggy-backed' a lighting wire to the elec. fan wiring by mistake? as there seems to be a 6 way connector that, apart from the others, has a lighting wire and a fan wire to/from it and another wire goes to earth, sorry don't really know much more about this bike, good luck.
