miele novotronic T495C, makes a constant whirring noise when in use, today I re checked the condenser because washing was coming out damp after an extra dry operation. the condenser was full of water, and when i turned the drum I could hear water somewhere inside which poured out of the condenser area. the actual condenser has a plastic casing at the back which is brittle and breaking away

You should have a drain. But as the condenser is breaking away, that would need to be replaced. Water is not getting out of m/c need to look at why.
