What causes leak in passenger footwell of my Vauxhall 2007 Tigra?

My passenger footwell is full of water. I do not believe this has come from the roof as can see no evidence of leaking there. I located the drain below the windscreen for the drivers side and cleaned the debris from here but could not find the passenger side drain, as battery in the way. I have seen some water seeming to come in from the the bottom of the passenger door. I took my car to the Vauxhall garage today and was told I have 2 leaks and I need the scuttle box resealed and resealing behind the pedals costing £640. This doesn't seen right to me as if there was a problem with the peddles surely water would be in the drivers footwell too, also 2 leaks what are the chances of that? As for the scuttle box does anyone know if that sounds like the cause??

After paying £70 diagnostics they say i need a replacement BCM box and pedal box requires re-sealing. Rather than give them another £640 i have just taken my car back as just not convinced that i need both doing.

can`t believe the charges getting banded about just for sealing a leak, some vauxhalls have a drain under the battery so that would be worth checking out,if you see water at your passenger door then it may be worth removing the door card and check the membrane is secure and in place and also make sure the drain holes at bottom of door are clear,I for one wouldn`t feather the nest of rip off merchants and see if you can get someone on the side to at least have a look at your problem, good luck
