Citroen c8 HDI 2003 diesel?

I keep getting the depollution system fault and my car has just lost power .When i stop and then accelerate it takes about 30 seconds to get to 20 mph. I was going up hill today and was going up it at 15 mph. The car has just lost power.Any ideas what it could be. Please help anyone
