the mower is difficult to start, once started it runs fine. when you turn it off to empty the grass box it won't re-start.

change the spark plug, and clean the airfilter, make sure that the choke is all the way off, and when your starting it for the first time , use the choke till it kicks , then knock the choke all the way off, never start a hot engin with the choke on, as it will flood it, if you should flood it, try starting it with it turned off, as this will dry the spark out for you, but it might that 6 or 7 pulls to do this, then turn it back on and try it,
