do you have a keyfob? sometimes the battery runs down and it doesnt turn the immobiliser off. if the system has lost its memory it will have to be recoded. you could possibly bypas the immobiliser this may involve rewiring the relevant engine management relay. check for electrical problems like water ingress to a fuse box/relay plate as this is common on the clios.
