Countax C400H hydrostatic, drive to blades is intermittent
good belts, when switch to engage blades is at on position the charge light comes on. some times when the belt to deck is pulled it will engage cutting but only for a short time. Wires to dash/switch seem to be ok,any ideas?

Either the battery has a dead cell, or the clutch itself is faulty. Early ones can be adjusted..

Do you get any other strange symptoms? A give-away is good dash lights, but engine won't even attempt to crank, or engine cranks but won't fire - until you let go of the key.

The microproccessor driven dash on these mowers does some strange things if it doesn't get it's full 12 volts.
