brakes?

Ford cargo 813, 1991 just failed MOT on poor braking effort both back brakes 650kg ish usually 950 which just about gets it through. Park is at 1400kg. No air leaks, loads sensing valve fine, just bled. Newish callipers and master cylinder. Gets a bit of an air leak on one side which requires bleeding but have never been able to find source. But never been this bad to fail. Any ideas as my fitter is running out of ideas?

I bled mine Jules but it made no difference. The fluid had to be completely changed through the whole system. Unbelievable how much muck came out before the clean fluid came through.

Hi Phil,

I think this is going to take more than bleeding, which we had already done the day before the test. The brakes don't feel soft they just don't work well! I'm leaning towards the brake differential valve being a bit stuck over towards the rear side and restricting the flow. If that is possible?

Mine failed on the brakes twice .Changed the fluid and bled the whole system and then she passed.
