New sliding lid and spring assembly is available as a spare part may solve the problem(easy fix) if not complete new box is required. (not so easy fix) If you need to replace the box post the question on this site and i will explain how to do it. Note :- if you are only using a short prog without a prewash anyway then the soap box opens as soon as the prog starts so you could just throw the soap tablet in the base at the start and forget the soap box.
