My daughter fell on the open oven door and it now hangs low beyond the 90 degrees it should and also does not close properly. It seems like it must be the hinges or hinge receivers, however I've had the hinges out and they look OK but it looks like it could be a bit more involved to get the receivers out. Has anyone had similar problem and could they advise please

Probably find 1 part bent, You could try lifting it up against the bent part to straighten, other wise you will have to rplace the hinges.
