Left the iron one week and it now works and doesnt blow the electrics when turned on. Would not recommend putting descaler on sole plate of iron. I am so relieved as wouldnt want to be without it but would definately recommend you dilute it and put it in the tank and flush it out as recommended by others on this blog.
