I have a 1999 Micra Nissan, When do you recommend changing the oil? It has been 6,000 miles and two years since last change.
Also the timing belt, it has 65,000 miles on it.
You are leaving it far too long Charles. With the miles you are doing change the oil and filter every 12 months. That way your timing chain should last a long time too. It will wear out much quicker without regular and frequent oil changes.

Oil & filter change at 9000mls or 12months If you have a diesel then timing belt at 72000mls the petrol engines have a timing chain and there is'nt a set interval for replacment just when they get noisey!!
