i have a scantronic alarm and the panel model 9827 keeps going off saying bf ie battery fault. i understand the system is no longer made what should i do to stop this keep going off

9827 is your remote keypad, your panel is probably a 9800+,

I would think your control backup battery needs replacing going on the message it's showing, intelligent things ar'nt they.

Having the battery replaced should restore order and stop your false alarms, if you are planning on doing this yourself, then I suggest you isolate the power to the panel before you remove the cover(should have a fused spur fitted, pop the fuse out of that).

If you are unsure then get someone in.
