Way beter that winzip: IZArc
It allow you to open just about any archives and create archives in MANY formats. It often offers a beter compression than winzip.
It's also free. Just make sure that you use custom install and UNCHECK ALL check boxes. NONE of those offerings are usefull nor needed in any way.
Check the size of the archive before sending. Even compressed, it may be to large to send. In this case, just make a few archives and send them separetely, or send a single large archive using www.divshare.com or another file sharing service.
