honywell ADE accenta alarm?

Following a PIR change the alarm has gone into tamper mode,so we think. LEDs TA PA POWER were flashing until I entered my code. Now the same LEDs have stopped flashing but are still lit.

I would like to know the correct sequence for resetting please, as we need it up and running for security reasons.

Can anyone help?

Ah yes the old accenta 8 mercury, which one is it? Buggered if I know, defo no flags on that one.

OP says ADE Accenta, so assume ADE Accenta 8.
No flags on that.

Again lack of specific info can cause a conflict of answers.

Are you sure me matey?

Lads read the manual there is no engineer reset for tamper on this model.
It looks like it is stuck in between engineering and user. The clue is the locked keypad.

OP, take off the cover and enter 9999 see what happens.
Check all tamer circuits ( Just the global one is all from what you say. Refit cover and press reset reset, then your code and reset.

Should clam the thing down.

you should have put it on the engineering mode before you opened the pir,now you may well need the engineer to reset it as e manno said

I did not have this fault until i replaced the faulty pir, i have now removed the wiring and refitted thinking it was a bad connection, but now the leds are flashing and the keypad does not do anything. Have i now got a tamper fault somewhere else?, should i disconnect the tamper wires from the pir, tape them together and try resetting?. Your help is much appreciated.

Find and remove the tamper, then you should be able to reset.

If entering your user code then pressing RESET has failed, then I would think your system requires an engineers reset. If you dont know the code, then your system requires the attention of an engineer.

Alternatively you could read through the engineering manual,it may help if you understand it.
