how do i fix my engine fault?

i have a xsara picasso 2l hdi 54 plate, i stalled it, and the engine fault light came on, now if i am at low revs going round a corner or slowing down it cuts out, i have to take key out lock the doors then open again to start it again, is this a bad problem.

thanks steve 44, have taken it to garage and it found that it the fuel pressure bar sensor. have been told to change the fuel filter before thy do the sensor, as it may be that, might save some money, again thanks.

hi kevin you need to take it to a local garage its your engine management light it will keep doin it untill you get it sorted something on your car has broke down thats why it has come on
