how to replace sump on nissan almera?

going to replace sump on 2003 almera what do i need and is it more than just unscrewing bolts

not sure on your model but some sumps can be awkward to remove,you may have a xmember just below it and also your oil pick up pipe in the sump may hinder you also,to get it low enough to remove the engine mounts sometimes need removing to get the engine high enough to get the clearance,there again it may just be a case of removing the bolts and slipping it off

you just need to drain the oil into suitable container, if you are replacing with fresh oil think about replacing the oil filter as well. refit the sump plug, take out the bolts, and remove sump, just take care when removing sump as there maybe oil left in the bottom. refit with a new sump gasket and refit new sump. do bolts up to required torque, refill with new oil, do not overfill. turn engine over for a few minutes allow oil to settle check level and look for any leaks around sump gasket.
