hi i have a 2004 1.6 16v vauxhall zafira. i have a problem with the engine management light being on and i have changed several sensors but i still have this problem also the car is losing power as-well. It hasn't actually cut out and stopped. I telephoned my nearest garage and asked about an air flow meter as on different sites this seems to be the problem. Only his answer was that my car doesn't have an air flow meter! Is this true? would really love some help on this thanks

You def should not replace parts Neil you are sure of the diagnostics as pointed out. You also need to understand the codes.

P0110 Inlet Air temp sensor
P0220 Throttle position switch/ Throttle pedal position sensor
P0340 Camshaft position sensor
P1550 Electronic Throttle system in Emergency mode

Codes are 0110, 0340, 1550 and 0220, have replaced the pre-cat o2 and camshaft sensor but to no avail.

From my info it does'nt have a airflow meter it uses a MAP sensor to determine the airflow, but as CDC says get it onto a code reader as it will work out cheaper in the long run, rather than just replacing random components in the hope of a cure!!

the first thing you should have got done was to get the motor onto a code reader and you wouldn`t waste money guessing at your fault and change parts needlessly,I would have thought your motor being quite modern would have an air flow meter but again wouldn`t renew it until fault codes were looked at.
