Trying to put fan/drive belt back on it seems its about 3 inches to long been told its common fault. am i doing something wrong done what it said in manual still the same on cit picasso x reg 1800cc
Its the same belt that came off the car. Am i doing something wrong or could it be the tensioner
also how long should the drive belt be

All i did was loosen the tensioner now it seems there is a diff of about 2 - 3 inches. measured around where the pulleys r & got 2inch diff so could it of had wrong belt on the car ? when i brought it

if it is going on and routed the way the old one came off then you must have the wrong belt.
