Scantronic 9751?

I have an intermittent fault on the 9751. The alarm will ring when the system is not active and there is no way of stopping it without power the system down. The unit supplier will not exchange the unit as he has never had the problem before. But when I purchased a 2nd unit and it was installed the problem disappeared. Has anybody any experience of this please. Pete

sale of goods act 1976 states goods must be fit for purpose,if it dont work, then you are entitled to an exchange unit or money back, you do not need to accept a repair, they have no other option, check it out yourself on net, type in the sales of good act,

Report him to Trading Standards, he has obviously never heard of the Sale of Goods Act (or what ever it is called today)

Could be a faulty unit, is the programming EXACTLY the same. The seller has a duty if the product is faulty and this does not matter if HE HAS NOT HEARD OF THE FAULT. I suggest you ask him to return it for testing, if no fault found then your out of pocket. If there is your due a refund, but he cannot just fob you off. Remind him of your statuary rights.
