Ignition system parkinson cowan renown?

My Parkinson Cowan Renown RG60 has stopped clicking and lighting. I cannot find a battery compartment and as the cooker is plugged in (which i assumed was just for the clock) i'm wondering if this also powers the ignition system. Please help
