have you checked the oil level?some vectra reservoirs are quite awkward to check,have a look at the o/s front corner behind the inner mudwing

Turn engine off, try turning steering. Now start the engine and do the same, lot easier running, its working, Check your belts if it is intermittent, most are belt driven units
