galaxy autobox mk1 jumpy ?

i have a 1999 1.9 tdi autogearbox i have just put oil in it as i was told that this might be the reason why it was jumpy and dont always engaging gear when hot having put the oil in i still have the same problem is there a selector sensor thats conected to the brake/gearbox

do not overfill!!. There may be a brake switch fault. It neutralizes the transmission when foot is on the brake at lights etc.When faulty can do same without touching brake.

oil level must be checked at correct temp.Autobox failure is common issue on these motors
