under engine remove plastic cover below alternator belt.
pull all possible slack in belt and wedge the tensioner pulley in this position this allows easy removal of belt from alternator pulley.then go under bonnet and remove 3 alternator bolts and cables and take alternator out for access. the thermostat is behind the plastic housing with the two water hoses attached remove hoses for access ,remove 4 bolts on thermostat housing take housing off replace thermostat it has a rubber seal .reverse procedure ,top up water ,start engine with radiator cap off run till thermostat opens and top up water when level drops ,keep heater in hot position so you know the water is circulating properly with no air locks if water guage gets in to red turn off and try again when temp has come down
