Hi I have a accenta 6 alar which has been fine for 12 odd years. Reiently has developed a fault where as the alarm goes off for no reason. Have not even set alarm and sometimes goes off the tamer light and sometimes the attack red lights light up. Any ideas anyone Please

Or buy one now, 12v 2.1 amp hour, from maplins or screwfix.

Expect to pay around a tenner,

If your system is basic, ( no fancy monitoring devices)and doesn't demand a high ma draw, then the above battery will suffice.

Replacing the control backup battery should restore order,

Replace that first, then if the problem still persists check the tamper circuits.Hope you have had it serviced regulary in the last 12 years?,

Don't be tempted to open the panel without isolating mains power first. Now i'am expecting the system to go into full alarm when you remove mains power. Pop your code in,it may silence the bells it may not, take down the battery details, close the panel, restore mains power, pop your code in then press reset.

Remember power off first when you go in to replace the battery,
