zafira 02 fob stopped working?

my 02 zafira fob has stopped working, it has had a new battery, i've tried the key in ignition and turned to the second setting and pressed the lock button but didnt work, any ideas what to do next? also tried blu-tack against the battery

tried that, and now its worse, now only the drivers door locks!! help !!

hi jem try and put the key in the ignition but dont turn it just put the key in and then try to lock and unlock the door with the door open
