Citroen Saxo 1.1 Forte 2003 Immobilisor light flashes?

It has happenned about 3 times.The engine cuts out while driving and immobilisor light keeps flashing.The car starts after about 5 minutes and is fine but this has happened 3 times.
Took it to the garage and the diagnostic computer does not show any fault

round the ing switch is a key reader.they just clip off and plug in to change them if this goes weak it can cause the problem as it does not read the key.they cost around ten pounds and are easy to fit
