i bought a store that has has a sam4s er 5215m register. i want to delete the old name that prints on the receipt and add our new name. how can i do this? i have no local support available but do have a manual.

You need the logo/ endorsement message programming section of the manual. Follow the steps using the line number for X. So if you want to change the top line of the receipt, type 1 where it shows X in the programming. You need to use the character codes to enter the letters. It will show you how in the book. Let me know if you get stuck.
