I have a Murray, with a Briggs/Str engine 12 hp.. The problem is that the engine will not start. It turns, sparks, has gas. I took out the carb and cleaned it with carb/and choke cleaner and clean rags. It just turns but it doesn't even try to kick over. I have also changed the oil. What do you suggest it could be?

Two things...try starting it with full choke, and with your hand over the intake momentarily and try to get gas to come through the carb. If it runs a few seconds and dies, we know that the carb has a major blockage somewhere. Also, verify that your flywheel key isn't sheared, causing the timing to be off. Hope you get it running!
