Its according to if its locked up and you can`t turn it or wHat
My son has a ford focus and the cylinder locked up and at the dealship they wanted about $300.00 to replace it so I looked around ..key cylinder was 100 bucks >//????
So I drilled out the key cylinder so key would work and now any key can turn it but it won`t crank unless they right key is used because of anti theft sytem with the coded key
In about a half hour had him back on the road ..$ooooooo
No recodeing key to anti theft ect..there should have been a recall on these but no help from Fo0rd .............good luck
