I have water leaking after driving by the front offside wheel any ideas

Water pump.

When you replace it, if your engine has a cam-belt (you don't tell us which engine) I'd renew that, and probably the thermostat at the same time. You need to remove the cam-belt to get at both the thermostat and the water-pump so you may as well do them all at once.
