i bought the car an the lady that i bought the car of said she has lost one of the keys. ive got a key that opens the doors an starts the car.the car is central locking. just that i bought a key that has got remote central locking on it and want to find out if i wasted my money its a vw golf mk 4 2000 thanks

if u bought a blank key u would have to get it programed u would have to go to vw dealer and take your vehicle documents and they would program it but it will cost

I just bought a 2000 golf as well and I only have the valet key too. What is central locking? I can't get mine to stop chiming when I turn on head lights. Similiar problem???
