Sorry I have been asked by a friend to try a repair on his parkside chop / mitre saw, he left it outside and it got wet !
I opende up the motor and the carbon brushes seemed to be stuck, I feeed them out, and searched further... I was checking out the wiring with a multimeter and discovered an electrical component, perhaps a "thyristor" [TO220] which may be part of an electronic braking system... It was burned out.
Laser is still working !
I am searching for a workshop manual or wiring diagram to find out what this [TO220 TYPE] component is.
If anyone knows this component replacement, please contact me tnx Peter
