Scantronic I-on 16 batt Low?

Hello

When trying to exit the installer menu i get a batt low fault and the system remains in the installer menu. Is this fault referring to the 12v battery in the main panel or the dector/wireless keypad battey.

I also have a fault of 12v keypad fall. i have 12v at the keypad terminals and the keypad works fine.

Any advice on how to clear these faults in most appreciated.

"the panel is telling you of a past reference if it sets when you key in your pin then al is ok the square on keypad should be green now,if it is,then all is well"

If its a past reference how can i get rid of it. I`ve entered and exited installer mode to see if that clears it but in dosen`t.

Viewing the event log there`s no log of keypad 12v fail but there is of the low batt fault.

i Enter the user code and press A or B to set the system and the keypad 12v fail message appears. press tick system sets and the square turns green. Enter user code again system unsets and the keypad 12v fail message appears, press tick, time and date appear on the display and the sqaure turns back to red.

i will leave you with tom to resolve it,as you seem not want to acknolage what i have said,

Yes tom out of installer mode now, just have this keypad 12v fail to solve.

Can you exit engineer mode yet? if so very often you reset it from the customer code where it says the fault and says press tick to reset. this has caught me out a few times

Replaced the main back up battery in the main panel and the Batt low fault has now cleared. Yes!

When setting the system i get a Keypad 12V fail message displayed on the wired keypad. Press tick and the system sets.

Measuring the volts in the panel on the 12V 0V bus terminals i get 13.6v with the mains connected and 12.3v with the mains disconnected. On the wired keypad i get 13.6v mains on and 12.3v mains off.

How can the keypad have 12v fail and still work??

Thank you for the help so far

Sorry ste i'am not clued up on these ion's, how's about replacing the RPK batteries and the backup battery and take it from there.

You have to start troubleshooting somewhere why not start with the batteries, if you don't have the correct test equipment, then I would think batteries first.

Just a suggestion mate, as I say i'am not sure!,,

Hope the guys can sort it for you, good luck.

don`t have a remote only have one wireless (radio)keypad and one wired keypad. The three alarm zone's are all wireless (radio) door contactors

Systems about 18months old. Version V1.00.11
Batterys in the wireless keypad are 1.5V AA
the red square on the wired keypad is lit red

When i exit installer mode i get INSTALLER EXIT FLLT Batt Low displayed on the screen and the system returns to installer menu.

12v keypad fault i think is a sperate fault which the system has had for 6 months or so.

Ste, September 2012
check the remote button if you use them, the panel will tell you where the fault is,i e pir or door contact or bell box or the stand by battery ,we have fitted lots of these units,as i said before most people cause their own probs

with your post mate, you dont have a clue, you cant test the battery in end station unless you have a pac tester ,are you using the radio keypad ?you dont give clear info, this panel is very good ,most faults are caused by the user you dont say how old your system is,early systems used 3.5 volt batteries in the sensors, new units use aa batteries ,you need to give more info you will have the red ring on keypad get back to us when you have checked all i have said, the guys on here are clued up,up to you mate
