sportcraft TX 5.0 rc treadmill won't light up ?

I have a Sportcraft Model TX 5.0 RC treadmill. The control panel will not light up. Removed motor cover and there is a green light that does light up. Motor sounds like it is trying to run but the control panel does not light up. What steps do I need to take to troubleshoot and correct the issue.
