water in drivers side footwell?

Hi i have a ford mondeo mk2 1999model. recently i have found a pool of water in the drivers side footwell. I have checked for any leaks and found none.the water is just in the middle of the foorwell.all round the pool is dry.any help would great.

checked the membrane that's fine.the carpeted area around the pool is completely dry.

check the membrane between door and door trim panel,make sure it is complete and not damaged and is fully stuck to door on sides and bottom.
