the fan runs all the time and the control slide will not stop or slow it down how do i fix this ?

I had the same problem with my own work van and it is either change the complete heater control assembly or have the motor wired so that it works via a seperate switch but this would mean that it only works at one speed (full speed) but at least you can turn it off when you want
