leaking fishing umbrella?

i own a fishing brolly which cost me £60 and ive recently discovered i have an annoying leak at the top.Can anyone recommended something that will permanently seal it ready for my winter fishing. Thanks

I had a small puncture in my brolley and successfully repaired the hole. I used a simple adhesive kit for punctures in paddling pools/lilos (works when wet too). Just make sure that the site is thoroughly clean before applying a patch. Cost about £5 B & Q's! Clear adhesive waterproof Sellotape also works OK for tiny punctures- must be bone dry when applying though.

Try your local angling shop Dean.
see if you can pick up some aquasure It it a rubber type glue.
I use it on my wader seams and also for dingy repairs,
It is very good stuff

if the top will unscrew place a piece of rubber(m/c car innertube) cut to a round shape on the end and replace the screw top if not you can buy fabric water repellant spray to reproof and make waterproof again.

Hi Dean,

I have used Duck Tape or similar available from Boat Chandlers.
