shudder in mondeo?

when driving my 1.8 petrol mondeo it starts to shudder and jerk.sometimes its hard to start and thenruns good for a while and same thing happens

hi has it been serviced lately if not i would check your air filter to start with and fuel filter and plugs and try looking on a ford site some have forums which are usefull hope this helps
