i have now solved the problem of the over heating after trying all i was told to try like rad cap etc then being told it was probebly the head gasket. my wife naged me saying what about the pipe leading to the rad or even the rad itself when looking at these as last resort the rad had cold spots and was blcked i have changed this now it has sorted the problem out so it has saved me from a new head gasket
