I've already taken it apart as far as I can figure out to. Having trouble getting into the housing--to the pulley--to feed new cord around it.

Take it apart. Unless you have the end. If you have the end, not much of the cord lost, so could possibly start it with what is left. Otherwise, take it apart. replace cord
