Hi few months back we had thunder and lightning before the storm my alarm box outside flashed alternative green and red to show alarm is active since the storm the alarm system works fine but there is no flashing lights on the Exterior box at any time could the lightning have strck the box causing something to blow in the main panel

Just changed my external alarm box, led lights are on constant and alarm box does not work, alarm works Internally, challenger external sounder au1000wbx , any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a reson8,The LEDs are there as an indication,presence of hold off and tamper health,
If you have no probs with alarm panel and sounder/ strobe test ok then the LED's module has failed,common fault on them.

Possibly, can you see it in the dark?
Most in the day you will have difficulty to see.
If lightening did strike I would expect a fault on the panel too.
Last strike I saw took out the panel, the TV the DVD and all other items plugged in.
You need to get up and look.
Maybe open the panel, isolate mains before opening.
Does it ring in a bell test?
Does the Strobe flash?
