Hi,
Anyone know how I can open the bonnet of my 2003 octavia when the cable has snapped?
ALREADY TRIED: from underneath i can see a spring where i believe the bonnet latch mech would be & ive tried moving the spring left to right with screwdriver, in the hope that would release the catch but it didn't. Also on another site i saw a post with same issue & the advice was to break the grille & undo the torx bolts holding the bonnet catch on. I did try this but cant get a tool on to the bolts due to the lack of room & sloping angle of bonnet.

Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks

I would try and find someone else with the same car and ask them nicely if you could have a look under their bonnet to see how the bonnet catch and operating cables work and how you can open yours from this information
