how do i open my door on my hoover wdm120 when the light wont go off?

My Hoover WDM120 the door will not open as the light will not go off.

sounds as though it is not empty, if it has not emptied check its not on rinse and hold , otherwise if still not empty drop the hose into a basin to let it drain if it opens when empty the pump has a blockage which needs clearing
