Peugeote 206 gti with a/c heater blower not working?

I have been told on a Peugeot 206 gti 1999 with a/c the resistor is built into the blower/motor can anyone confirm this is correct, i have changerd the blower/motor but still not working, Can anyone help what to try next.

the resistor is in the bulk head near the motor its held in by a grubscrew hope this helps luck
