How can I fix my alarm?

Following a power cut my Gardtec 800 alarm displays the message "Gardtec 800 v2.2 Log size 1". I cannot remove this message and when I enter the code it beeps but nothing happens

Come on Alarm, it's a rechargeable battery, don't you know that they last for ever!

Try throwing a new battery at it.
Then a manual, as it has crashed and died.

Remember, mains is present and you should not open the panel without isolating it.

Then you can discover the joys of batteries and alarm programming if you have the manual.
