just had ny cambelt changed on my 307hdi o2 plate. since i got it back there is a whirring sound coming from the cambelt area which gets louder as the engine revs increase. i took it back to the garage and they said it is nothing to worry about as the car is running ok. but i think something must be wrong.
take it to another garage and get a second opinion. it should'nt make any noise, if its too tight its possible it may snap and then you will need a replacement engine at a cost of at least a £1000. dont be fobbed off.
